Clans
Every character belongs to one clan. Your clan decides your home town, your three weapon types and who your enemies are: you cannot attack your own clan (except in the team battles, see below).
The three clans
There is no best clan: pick the look and weapons you like. Each clan learns its skills from its own weapon masters, and NPCs of another clan's town will not serve you ('[SYSTEM] Target is a different Clan.').
Rules
You cannot attack players of your own clan. PvP is against the other clans, on maps where PvP is allowed (see pvp-and-cp). Exception since the 207 update: in regular-war, muo-ruins and colosseum players fight in teams (Green, Blue, Orange, Grey) instead of clans, and a player of your own clan in another team is an enemy there; when the event ends, clans count again.
A clan far ahead in Clan Points is closed to new characters for a while; the weakest clan is never closed.
Open the clan window from the clan icon at the bottom right (PC) or MENU > Clan (mobile).
Your clan hall (, or ) is reached through the Elder of your town (Meet Elder). The Guardian there sells clan titles for CP.
Nangin is a special fourth clan. You cannot choose it when you create a character. M33 players of the strongest clan can join it later: join-nangin.
Clan balance
Since the 207 update players with many PvP kills add more to their clan's points than before.
A clan that is clearly behind the strongest clan in Clan Points gets a bonus on EXP and item drops from monsters (not on Elite drops; Nangin is not part of it).
